Welcome to Wickham Manor, a National Trust-owned 16th Century Manor House nestled within our 120 acre mixed farm and vineyard, surrounding the picturesque ancient town of Winchelsea. References to this Manor are found from the 12th Century onwards, though the earliest surviving parts of the building date from the mid to late 16th Century. In the 17th Century it was owned by Pennsylvania founder, William Penn. Wickham Manor was divided into four cottages in the late 19th Century, then converted back into a single dwelling during the 1920s. It has been home to The Palmer Family since 1998 and Sally had previously run it as a Bed & Breakfast.

Spoilt with sea views, Winchelsea is a 20-minute walk via the 1066 footpath which runs directly through the farm and past the Manor, making it a perfect stay for keen explorers. If you are wanting to travel further afield, we are blessed with lots of local towns and villages such as Rye (3.8 miles) Hastings (9 miles) and Tenterden (16 miles) which offer local cuisine and a range of boutique shops.
